John Lindsay, Senior Pastor
John has served New Hope as its senior pastor since November, 2008. He preaches and teaches regularly, serves as the moderator of our Board of Elders (also called the Session), and oversees other staff members. John received his theological training at Gordon-Conwell Seminary. After graduating in 1999, he served for nine years as a solo pastor at West Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Hopewell, VA.
Born and raised in Fayetteville, NC, John attended UNC-Chapel Hill (BA, 1992) and was a Morehead Scholar. While in college he met his future wife, Amy. The two married in 1993 and are raising four children: Preston, Sarah, Caleb and Nathan. When not involved with church or family activities, you can often find John at the Jerry Long Family YMCA where he coaches group indoor cycle classes.
Gerald Chrisco, Associate Pastor
Gerald first came to New Hope in 2002 and was ordained and installed as a Ruling Elder in 2006. In 2010, after completing a seminary degree and a year-long internship, he was ordained and installed as our part-time Associate Pastor focusing on adult discipleship and outreach ministries. Gerald also serves as the Chief Financial Officer of The Budd Group, a regional facility services company headquartered in Winston-Salem.
Gerald was raised in Winston-Salem and graduated from N.C. State (BS, 1979) and Wake Forest (MBA, 1981) before beginning his career with The Budd Group. He received his theological training at Reformed Theological Seminary (MAR, 2009). Gerald and his wife Allison married in 2014 and live in Bermuda Run. He is the proud father of three adult daughters (Allison, Ashley and Aleah) and three grandsons (Anderson, Ian, and Owen).
Ben Tietje, Assistant Pastor
Ben first came to New Hope in May, 2017 when he was called as to serve as Director for Youth and Family Ministries while finishing up his seminary degree. A year later, Ben was ordained and installed as New Hope’s Assistant Pastor for Youth and Families.
Ben grew up in many places, but considers Old Fort, NC his home. He attended UNC-Greensboro (BS, 2011) and began his theological training at Moody Seminary in Chicago before transferring to Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. Ben is married to Leigha, a Registered Nurse. They are the parents of three lovely girls, Helen, Liza, and Charlotte.
Kristen Bradsher, Church Administrator
Kristen began working at New Hope in 2012, when her husband Brian came on staff as Youth Pastor. She coordinates church communications, oversees facility rentals, and makes preparations for worship services, Christian Education classes, and special events. Kristen also serves on the leadership team of New Hope’s American Heritage Girls chapter.
Kristen was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised just outside the city in a suburb called Oreland. She attended Messiah College (BA, Family Studies) and went on to work in various residential ministry settings, including His Mansion in NH, House of Hope in Clayton, NC, and AIDS Care Service in Winston-Salem. Together with Brian, she is raising three active children: Cameron, Hannah and Corbin.
Jennifer Jordan, Treasurer
Jennifer Jordan has served as New Hope’s treasurer since August, 2014. She tracks all of the church’s expenses, maintains its accounts, pays its bills, and administers its payroll. In addition to her work at New Hope, Jennifer serves as an executive assistant at the Budd Group.
Jennifer’s family moved often, but she considered the Midwest her home until she and her husband Cliff moved from Chicago to Clemmons. She attended Taylor University (BA, 1987) and worked as a market analyst until she began raising and homeschooling her children - Claire, Andrew, and Emma. Jennifer is an avid and talented singer who serves on New Hope’s worship team and also sings professionally with the Carolers of Christmas Past and the Uncommon Bond Band.
