What to Expect on Sunday
Sunday Worship: 10:00-11:15am
Sundays at New Hope begin with our worship service (10:00 AM – 11:15 AM in the gymnasium).
Our worship services include basic elements of liturgy while also being flexible week-to-week. Services will always include scripture readings, singing, prayer, and a sermon. We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper twice a month. Our singing is congregational, but led by a team of musicians and singers.
Our congregation includes people from all generations and walks of life. People generally dress as they feel comfortable.
A staffed nursery is available each week for the entire service.
Children’s Fellowship: during sermon
We believe that children of all ages are a vital part of our church family, and we love for them to be present during worship.
At the same time, we recognize that it is difficult for some young children to sit through a 30 minute sermon. For that reason, for parents who wish, we provide a special program during the sermon for 3 year olds - 3rd grade called Children’s Fellowship during the sermon.
At Children’s Fellowship, kids learn memory verses, sing sings, and have a snack. Each week Children’s Fellowship is led by two background-checked adults.
Children will be invited to go to Children’s Fellowship directly after the Children’s Lesson (which takes place during the service, right before the sermon), and will be escorted back into the service during the closing prayer of the sermon.
Christian Education: 11:30-12:00pm
Following the worship service, we meet for Christian Education classes. Currently, we have classes for the adults, 6th-12th grade, 2nd-5th grade, and PreK-1st grade. Nursery is also provided during our Christian Education period.
As noted, there will always be at least two background-checked adults ready to take care of children under 3 years old in our nursery. Attached to the nursery is a private nursing mothers room equipped with comfortable chairs and a clean pack-n-play ready for naps.
