Student Ministry

Welcome to the student community of New Hope!  My name is Clay Walkup and my wife Rhoda and I are new additions to New Hope as of July ‘09.  As the Student Ministry Director, I am hoping to see New Hope continue in their vision of building up a community of middle school and high school students that are being directed and led to grow toward God together.  We are backed by a group of leaders and volunteers from New Hope that are committed to disciple our students through our Sunday School Program, Youth Group meetings, Community Service and Missions.

For the students of New Hope, we envision the youth ministry being a place of life, where the vibrancy of life with God is evident, where students are connected to God and each other, and that they would see honest examples of believers who are further in life and faith that wish to encourage and lead them in their walk with God.  We envision them being challenged with opportunities to serve as God give gifts and ability and for them express their faith to other as God creates. 

Our middle school and high school Sunday School classes meet separately after a breakfast and fellowship time that begins at 9:15 on Sunday mornings.  If you are in middle school, make sure to join us on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm here at New Hope for our youth group meetings.  The high school group meets together on Sunday nights from 7-9pm.  Pray for the students of New Hope and the larger Clemmons community!
